The Takeover of Barrel Proof Lounge

Barrel Proof lounge and Comedy IRL are teaming up to bring you a night of hilarious comedy! The Comedy IRL team is known throughout Santa Rosa, not only for putting on amazing shows, but being very funny in their own right. What better place for Comedy IRL and company to take the stage than the hottest new (and only) comedy club in town, Barrel Proof Lounge!

We invite anyone who has yet to enjoy comedy at Barrel Proof Lounge to come check it out! They have a great selection of wine and beer and the best stage in Sonoma County.

This will not be your typical comedy show! We have some of the most experienced show runners and comics in Sonoma County ready to bring you a high energy and hilarious night of performances!

Our Headliner is Phil Johnson! Phil has been seen and heard at the Sundance Film Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, on Sirius/XM, Bob and Tom radio, and Amazon Prime. He’s also released multiple comedy specials and albums filled with his colorful, tightly-written comedy. He's perfromed at countless clubs accross the US and Canada including the Ice House, Laughs Unlimited, and The Comedy Factory. Phil has also performed with many touring comics including Dusty Slay, Manny Maldanado, and Dave Coulier to name a few. Phil has an action packed show filled with his two loves, comedy and music. It’s a show filled with sharp unexpected turns, sneak attack jokes, and hilarious songs that doesn’t shy away from controversial territory… race, sex, religion, and doughnuts – so many doughnuts – all delivered from the viewpoint of a guy who happily grew up in the deeply multi-everything community of the San Francisco Bay Area. Our featured comic is Josh Argyle! Josh's quick wit and “everyman” relatability have helped him carve out a respected spot in the competitive Bay Area comedy scene. He is a regular at the Punch Line and Cobbs comedy club as well as a participant in the 2019 San Francisco International Comedy Competition. Josh has opened for national touring comedians such as Kyle Kinane, Doug Stanhope, Pablo Francisco and Dave Attell. And he just finished up featuring at Laughs unlimited in Sacramento for Justing Rivera. If we are lucky, and play our cards right, he may even wear something other than basketball shorts during his performance.

Our Opener will be Natalie Diaz! A winner of the Comedy IRL comedy competition and one of the funniest new comics on the scene! Don't miss her performance!
